Farm Credit Knowledge Center to Host Annual Farm Management Institutes in February
The Farm Credit Knowledge Center will host its annual Farm Management Institutes at Mountain View at Miller Farms in Fisher, W. Va. on February 24, 2025, and at Alphin-Stuart Livestock Arena in Blacksburg, Va. on February 25, 2025. For both events, dinner will be served at 5:30 PM and the program will begin at 6:00 PM.
The 2025 Farm Management Institutes are a free offering from the Farm Credit Knowledge Center in which participants at both locations will hear from Dr. David Kohl, Professor Emeritus of Virginia Tech. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with Dr. Kohl as he discusses the “Nuts and Bolts of Business Transition.” Dr. Kohl will provide strategies, actions and tactics that are critical for success.
Kyley Clevenger, Knowledge Center Director, shared, “Lifelong learning and networking are key components to success in any business. This year's Farm Management Institute will be beneficial and informative to agricultural producers of all experience levels, and any size or scope of operation. Whether you are just starting the transition process for your farm, are midway through a transition or have already made the shift to the next generation, this program is for you.”
